Map Toolbar Controls





  1. FacilitiesMap Plotting / Print

    FacilitiesMap Plotting is a highly customized printing function that replaces the default Infrastructure Map printing. In order to access this function, it must first be configured by an administrator. More >> 


  2. Measure Distance

    The distance tool allows users to measure distance by drawing lines directly on the map. More >>

  3. Create Buffer

    The buffer tool allows users to generate a buffer around any selectable feature on the map. More >>

  4. Previous View

    The previous view button allows users to change the map view back to the scale and extents of the user's last view (if it exists).

  5. Next View

    The next view button allows users to change the map view back to the scale and extents of the user's next view (if it exists).

  6. Zoom to Rectangle

    The zoom to rectangle button allows users to draw and select a region on the map to zoom:


  7. Zoom In

    The zoom in button allows users to zoom into the map (decrease the view scale), centered on the left click of the mouse.

  8. Zoom Out

    The zoom in button allows users to zoom out of the map (increase the view scale), centered on the left click of the mouse.

  9. Initial Map View

    The initial map view button allows users to zoom to the initial extents of the map, as it appears when first loaded.

  10. Select Mode

    The select mode button allows the user to drag and select any selectable features on the map. This function allows users to get information about the selected features, if the features have been configured to expose data.


  11. Pan Mode

    The pan mode button allows the user to left-click drag on the map and pan the map in any direction.

  12. Clear Selection

    The clear selection button clears any existing selection on the map. If set up as a custom command, this will also cause the Infobar to collapse if the Auto Expand/Collapse Infobar option is set.

  13. Locate Me (Optional)

    The locate me function allows users to click and attempt to drop a point on the map showing the user's current physical location. Note that different browsers will require permissions for this function to work. The map will *not* drop a point on the map if the user's current location falls outside the bounds of the current map.

    Note that this function must be configured by an administrator in order to be available.

  14. Create Point Feature (Optional)

    The create point feature function allows users to create a point feature for a geometry editable point layer. There may be more than one create point feature available on the toolbar.
